| Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) is getting ready to celebrate its 20th Anniversary by organizing both International Business Forum (IBF) and MUSIAD International Fair which are held conjunctionally once every two years.
Foreign relations are the first in importance among our activities and studies since the establishment of our associaton in 1990. As included in its mission, MUSIAD has advanced development in foreign relations in terms of encouraging Turkish businessmen to work overseas, setting up investment partnerships, import-export, and technology interchange by relying on the principle of mentality to develop economic, commercial, social and cultural relations among countries.
In this context, we aim to realize these two international events (MUSIAD Fair and IBF Congress) under the motto of “Union of Powers” with participation of over 3.000 overseas businessmen from 65 countries in Istanbul, Turkey on 6-10 October 2010.
International Business Forum (IBF) organized every year since 1995 and under the patronage of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey is a platform that provides co-operation and partnership opportunities for the participants, and builds trade and investment links by gathering businessmen from all over the world.
14th session of this platform will be held in Istanbul Halic Convention Center on 6-9 October 2010 under theme of “Importance of Technology for Development in Islamic World”. The congress will bring together guest ministers, bureaucrats, academicians, business communities, journalists and editors from 65 countries so as to pinpoint the issues on the theme and bring forward plausible solutions to those very issues.
13th of MUSIAD International Fair, held synchronously with IBF Congress and supported by DTM (Undersecretariat of the Turkish Prime Minister for Foreign Trade) with the program of “Purchasing Delegation”, is going to be organized in Istanbul Fair Center on 7-10 October 2010 and will accommodate local and international companies from variety of sectors. As in previous years, MUSIAD International Fair is expected to attract over 500 exhibitors including at least 100 overseas firms and 150.000 visitors this year.
We are proud to announce our upcoming fair-congress event and we are pleased to welcome you to the inauguration ceremony of the 14th IBF Congress on 6th of October 2010, as well as the opening ceremony of the 13th MUSIAD International Trade Fair on 7th of October 2010.
